Studio Corners and Improvised Color

This was the third meet I attended while visiting Texas, hosted at a studio called Fevermatic. The space was filled with immersive, custom-built sets and lighting setups — the kind of creative environment I wish we had more of in Sweden. Sadly, Fevermatic has since shut down, but this shoot stands as a testament to the kind of energy and experimentation it enabled.

The models featured in this set are Petra Banx (blue tank top), thecheydawn (green hair), and Whitley Queen (blue hair). Every image in this post was captured at this single event, using only the available light and space we had on hand.

While some of the shots were taken in the built sets, the portraits with bold red and green lighting were actually made just outside the bathroom, squeezed into a narrow hallway between two rooms. We moved a coat rack out of the way and leaned into the LED tones. No modifiers, no strobes — just existing Two light tubes and a bit of chaos control. And honestly? Some of my favorite results came from that spot.

Sometimes the most cinematic work doesn’t come from a polished set — it comes from making something.
