Lio Fotia and the beginning of something new

This was my first time working with Yun, and we jumped straight into the deep end — a late-night Lio Fotia shoot from Promare, lit entirely with LED tubes in a small Örebro apartment.

I’ve always loved the design language in Promare — fire as color, neon as metaphor. With limited space but a clear moodboard, we leaned into stylized gels, intentional shadow falloff, and some light smoke layering to build the right cinematic feel.

The goal was to evoke that combustive stillness you see in the film, when everything’s about to erupt — but you’re still holding the match.
